Review of the 11th London edition of 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair, Somerset House, 2023
Dr Carol Ann Dixon’s illustrated review of the 11th London edition of 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair. The 2023 showcase at Somerset House featured paintings, sculpture, fine art photography, ceramics, mixed-media installations and other creative outputs by more than 170 artists and collectives from continental Africa and the diaspora.

In early June 2023 I took part in a transdisciplinary conference on ‘Tourism, Memory and Heritage’ – held at the International Institute of Social History and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), Amsterdam (1-2 June 2023).
